Another excellent Playtech online slot with five reels, 50 paylines, and the characters of the popular Marvel franchize, the Fantastic Four. This time the characters were not borrowed from the movie, but rather from the comic books, surrounded by the usual ‘poker high cards’ symbols on the reels.

The game can be played with various coin values - the version I tried had values between $0.01 and $5 - and it comes with all the features a modern video slot must have - wild and scatter symbols, free spins and multipliers.

The Fantastic Four logo is used as the wild symbol of the game. It substitutes for any other symbol, except for the scatter. This video slot has 12 free games with four fantastic features, for every character of the Fantastic Four: the Mr. Fantastic feature, the Invisible Woman feature, the Human Torch feature and the Thing feature. Each of these are triggered when the corresponding character covers reel number three during free games.

The Mr. Fantastic feature appears when the Mr. Fantastic symbol covers the entire third reel. This awards the player four extra spins, during which the Mr. Fantastic symbol acts as an expanding wild, covering all visible rows.

The Invisible Woman feature is triggered when the corresponding symbol covers reel 3. This feature awards the player with one total bet, plus four extra free spins. During these spins, when the Invisible Woman appears at least once in the visible area, the multiplier applied to winnings increases by one. All winnings are multiplied by the accumulated multiplier at the end of the free games.

The Human Torch feature is triggered as above. In this game wheel 1 is covered by the Human Torch and is held, and the other three members of the team do not appear on the reels. This feature also comes with four extra spins.

The Thing - triggered same as above - comes with three extra free spins, during which the Thing acts as a wild symbol and remains frozen in the place of its appearance for the remaining extra spins.
